BASIC FUNCTION:

The Supply Chain Specialist will oversee carrier interactions and invoice management, alongside freight oversight. This role encompasses administrative responsibilities within the Logistics Department at HollyFrontier Corporation. Additional tasks will be delegated and monitored by the Logistics Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key functions include:

• Administrative support for the department.
• Receive, log, and audit freight invoices.
• Examine carrier statements, addressing and resolving freight invoice discrepancies with vendors.
• Maintain freight bill records and assist with monthly freight accrual documentation.
• Update pricing and export spreadsheets with carrier modifications.
• Compile all relevant documentation for customer shipment files and ensure proper organization of outbound shipment records.
• Record orders and times in daily shipment logs for verification of any demurrage charges.
• Participate in cross-training within the department as necessary.

Special projects or tasks may be assigned by supervisors at their discretion.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.

PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and logical reasoning.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in reading and writing.
• Capability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Proficient in spreadsheet, word processing, email, and database software.
• Adept at reading and understanding policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Ability to maintain accurate records as mandated by company and federal regulations.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

WORK CONDITIONS:

This position is office-based with potential travel requirements of up to 10% by air and land. The work environment may include a petroleum facility, warehouse, outdoor settings, and driving conditions involving chemicals and heavy equipment. Employees may be subject to varying weather, temperature, and road conditions, as well as on-call availability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job duties may involve standing, walking, sitting, twisting, crouching, kneeling, and visual inspections. The role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, push and pull up to 25 lbs, and climb up to 6 ft. A valid State driver's license and proof of insurance are essential for operating company vehicles.
