About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Inova Fairfax Medical Center. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer sound patient care practice according to hospital and department policies/procedures to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Assist in teaching radiography students sound radiography principles.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent.
  • Assist physicians in performing a variety of examinations.
  • Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program.
  • One year of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology.
  • Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist or student.
  • Basic Life Support.
  • American Registered Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist Upon Start.
