About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Inova Fairfax Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of radiologic principles, theory, anatomy, and pathology processes by utilizing the most appropriate techniques and/or positioning for optimal examinations.
  • Operate radiological equipment in all care settings, including fluoroscopy, trauma, Emergency department, and the Operating Room.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent from patients' and/or patients' charts to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations.
  • Assist physicians in performing a variety of examinations by using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program.
  • One year of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology.
  • Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist or student.
  • American Registered Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist Upon Start Must be licensed as required by the state of employment if employed at an Inova Health System free-standing Imaging Center not affiliated with an Inova hospital.
