Role Summary:
The Biomedical Equipment Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and supplies utilized throughout the facility are functioning correctly and are safe for patient use. This role also includes maintaining the physical infrastructure of the facility.

Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with typical shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. On-call availability may be required as needed.

Compensation:
Hourly pay ranges from $18.55 to $28.38, based on technical equipment experience and dialysis background; prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, calibrate, and maintain dialysis delivery systems to ensure they operate safely and effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on water systems in both clinical and home settings.
- Adhere to AAMI standards for water safety and reprocessing.
- Document all repairs and maintenance in accordance with clinic policies, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Perform air quality testing and take necessary actions based on results.
- Manage inventory tasks as assigned, following established procedures.
- Comply with protocols regarding hazardous chemical use, storage, and disposal.
- Observe strict infection control and safety measures.
- Handle minor building maintenance tasks as needed.
- Engage in clinic quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities.

Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to collaborate with healthcare teams
- Problem-solving abilities

Education and Training:
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months of experience as a biomedical technician or equivalent education and experience
- Completion of assigned manufacturer training courses within 12 months is required.
