Job Overview

Position: Senior Expert in Renewable Systems Management

Location: This role will be based in the greater Casper, WY area, with responsibilities extending to various Wind Farms across multiple states including Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. The primary work locations will include Glenrock, WY, Douglas, WY, and Medicine Bow, WY.

Contract Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Expert in Renewable Systems Management will:

  • Provide expert technical guidance and oversee technical operations related to the planning, design, procurement, and maintenance of renewable energy control systems.
  • Offer technical support for administrative functions of control systems, including updates, troubleshooting, and enhancements of renewable control systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and electronic control instruments.
  • Engage in programming and system upgrades within SCADA environments.
  • Conduct audits of existing programs and renewable performance metrics to enhance availability and reliability.
  • Deliver technical direction for the troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of control systems and communication equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to OPC communication and control systems, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Support the planning, design, and construction of project enhancements or maintenance for renewable control systems.
  • Facilitate remote equipment monitoring and data collection, ensuring accurate alarm management and data history.
  • Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and diagnostic processes of control equipment.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for electrical, mechanical, and operational challenges.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in PLC programming, preferably with Allen Bradley/Rockwell, demonstrating hands-on experience to effectively understand plant processes and make necessary modifications to minimize downtime and costs.
  • A high level of technical knowledge, judgment, and capability in controls and instrumentation.
