About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to join our team at Gateway Recruiting, INC. as an Environmental Project Engineer. This role will play a critical part in championing environmental design and due diligence for our 2nd US molecular recycling plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental project programs that facilitate collaboration with investment areas, multiple stakeholders, and plant site teams.
- Assist in creating, communicating, and tracking engineering deliverables necessary for licensing and legal compliance requirements.
- Facilitate the provision of information for timely completion of estimates of air, water, and waste, which support regulatory requirements.
- Summarize, communicate, and track design aspects critical to complying with air, water, and waste permit/regulatory requirements for performance, monitoring, and/or recordkeeping requirements.
- Represent the design team's environmental aspects with consultants, service companies, and within the company.
- Participate in risk assessments as needed and facilitate information needs capture and timely resolution of action items.
- Acquire and document environmental applicability and non-applicability for all media.
- Collaborate with other environmental resources throughout the company to benchmark and identify best practices.
- Draft SOPs for environmental compliance programs for the investment site to operate post-mechanical completion and set up associated training.
- Serve as a resource for practices, programs, and analysis/resolution of issues in environmental compliance, data collection, and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in chemical or environmental engineering or equivalent technical degree.
- 5 years exempt level experience in project, manufacturing, or environmental assignment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in environmental regulations, preferably in a chemical manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to timely implement and execute established plans and procedures.
- Strong computer aptitude (database use, spreadsheets, word processing, presentation preparation).
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities quickly and effectively.
- Strong organization skills and ability to find practical solutions to environmental issues.
- Effective communicator and works collaboratively in a multi-faceted team environment.
