About the Role

This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to provide emotional support to individuals with serious illnesses and their families. As a Hospice Patient Volunteer, you will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

You will visit patients in their homes or facilities, participating in conversations, storytelling, and other activities that bring joy and comfort. Your role may also involve assisting patients with daily tasks, such as reading, watching movies, or simply being present.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to commit for one year, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate empathy and compassion towards others. Training is provided online and focuses on personal growth and understanding of hospice care principles.

We seek candidates who are passionate about making a difference in their community and are willing to invest time and effort into supporting those in need. Estimated salary: $12-$15 per hour.
