Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including ER, surgical, fluoroscopic, and portable procedures. You will also assist physicians and radiologists in procedures requiring sterile technique and prepare and administer radiopaque contrast media as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and screening imaging procedures, including ER, surgical, fluoroscopic, and portable procedures.
  • Assist physicians and radiologists in procedures requiring sterile technique.
  • Prepare and administer radiopaque contrast media as needed.
  • Assess patient conditions prior to and during all radiologic procedures.
  • Perform other department-related duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or graduate of an American Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology or a military training program of equivalent standards.
  • One year of experience as a Radiology Technologist - X-ray Technologist preferred.
  • Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists primary certification in Radiography - ARRT (R).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per SDH policy.

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is a multi-specialty hospital in Texas with over 360 beds.
