We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Dining Associate to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Selection and Patient Support: Assist patients with menu selections, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
- Collaboration with Clinical Staff: Work closely with our clinical staff to ensure patients receive the nutrition they need, including monitoring patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, or require special intake recording.
- Modified Diets and Patient Education: Demonstrate knowledge of modified diets, proper condiments, and related restrictions, and report patients' understanding of their diet to the Dietitian/Diet Technician.
- Quality Patient Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Meal Tray Assembly and Delivery: Assist with assembling selected meals on trays and delivering and picking up meal trays.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Communicate any patient-related problems to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with customer service experience and basic computer skills.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate a strong sense of accountability for improving patient lives.
- Teamwork and Education: Strong focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and ability to deliver high-quality care based on a strong sense of patient focus.
