Senior Insurance Underwriter Leader

The Specialty Casualty team at AmTrust Financial Services is seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter to join our growing team. Our team delivers significant value to wholesale brokers by providing an underwriting capability for higher hazard General Liability and Excess insurance needs.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' industry experience, with 10+ years in Excess and Surplus lines, and specialized knowledge of higher-hazard, complex risks, including construction, products liability, hospitality, and distressed premises.
The role requires advanced risk assessment skills, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to develop risk pricing by analyzing exposures, claims experience, and utilizing pricing tools and worksheets.
The Executive Underwriter will be responsible for new business development, risk analysis and assessment, coverage evaluation, pricing, and contract negotiation. They will also collaborate with Underwriting, Legal, and Claims to drive product development strategies and initiatives supporting business objectives.
