As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for executing or assisting with routine upkeep and repair tasks for the property. This includes essential duties such as painting and landscape maintenance. You will collaborate with the Chief Engineer and the maintenance team on various projects to ensure our hotel remains inviting and well-maintained. Your interpersonal skills will shine as you engage with guests and colleagues, addressing their needs promptly to provide a safe and pleasant environment for all.

In the role of Maintenance Support, your responsibilities will include:

  • Be the Reliable Resource - assist with general property maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to painting, grouting, hanging fixtures, moving furniture, and basic equipment repairs, while supporting the mission of a secure and comfortable guest experience.
  • Be Prepared to Assist - remain vigilant and ready to respond swiftly to any emergencies that may arise during your shift.
  • Be a Collaborative Team Member - willingly assist other departments when needed, fostering a spirit of teamwork.
  • Be a Safety Advocate - adhere to established safety and security protocols, proactively identifying potential issues and notifying management as necessary.

*Sign-On Bonus: $100 in the first paycheck, with the remaining $900 disbursed after 90 days of employment.

Compensation:

$22 - $24 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing HVAC filters, and conducting minor plumbing repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning properly to prevent disruptions in hotel operations.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for repairs or maintenance issues, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct inspections of hotel facilities to identify and rectify safety hazards or maintenance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and projects effectively.
Qualifications:
  • While practical experience is limited, completion of trade school or related coursework is preferred, along with previous customer service experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks is essential. Strong communication skills and a basic understanding of English are required. Physical demands include the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally, and 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and reaching is necessary.
  • Must possess near vision capabilities to see details at close range and be able to navigate stairs quickly and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work long hours in varying temperature conditions and noise levels, both indoors and outdoors, is required.
