Business Operations Specialist

About the Role:
We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Process Specialist, Business Services. As a key member of our business services team, you'll play a critical role in supporting Walmart Unemployment Services and stores by ensuring proper notification to and assessment of witnesses for hearings, preparing evidence, and providing continuous improvement recommendations for initial claims process and hearing support functions.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to hearing notifications for employer and claimant appeals by timely and accurately securing and registering a witness
- Prepare relevant documentation to defend against claimant appeal hearings for submission as evidence or to prepare the witness or external representative with internal evidence
- Prepare witness/representatives by providing core claimant employment information as well as detailed, specific separation details and supporting evidence (policy, behavior, training acknowledgment, witness statements, etc.)
- Navigate state portals to communicate directly with states and improve lead time for receipt and submission of documents
- Meet minimum quality and productivity expectations for the team
Requirements:
- Experience working in case or claims management
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment with the ability to meet productivity requirements
- Strong customer service experience and focus with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time, think critically, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities and systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt and pivot
- An independent thinker and team player mindset
- Exposure to court files and documents preferred
- Bilingual Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $80,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance bonuses. You'll also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits include PTO (including sick leave), parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting. Other benefits include short-term and long-term disability, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and more.
