AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
Accountable for establishing, implementing, and upholding quality benchmarks for the transformation of materials into semi-finished or finished products.
- Support production teams during the initiation of new procedures (PPAPs) and related PPAPs concerning equipment relocations, process modifications, design alterations, etc.
- Exhibit understanding of AQP documentation, amendments, and ensure necessary follow-up actions.
- Promote and highlight the significance of prompt and precise updates regarding process modifications.
- Demonstrate strong collaborative skills by engaging in and leading team initiatives.
- Conduct thorough IATF 16949 audits as a qualified and experienced lead auditor. Execute audits of Quality Management System components in accordance with established protocols and communicate findings to quality leadership.
- Oversee the installation, upkeep, execution, training, and process strategizing for EP&T. Direct and manage all EP&T processes and projects within the facility.
- Assist manufacturing operations in achieving safety, quality, and production performance indicators.
- Lead the formulation of PFMEAs, control strategies, and testing/inspection protocols to alleviate risks linked to products and processes.
- Head cross-departmental problem-solving groups to foster product and process enhancements, with the goal of increasing both internal and external customer satisfaction, minimizing nonconformities and waste, and improving first-pass yield.
- Facilitate problem resolution, including root cause analysis and the establishment, execution, and validation of effective corrective and preventive measures.
- Support capability assessments to investigate and improve production processes to fulfill defined standards.
- Initiate enhancements in processes, product quality, and operational efficiency. Identify trends and priorities through data organization, charting, and analysis.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or relevant discipline is essential.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance is required.
- AIAG or RAB certified lead auditor certification is advantageous.
- CQE certification is preferred.
- Experience in welding, fabrication, and/or machining is desirable.
- Familiarity with various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) is necessary.
- Proficient in MSA studies, process capability assessments, and conducting gage R&R studies.
- Knowledge of SPC application is essential.
- Strong communication capabilities are required.
- Detail-oriented, confident, and self-assured.
- Excellent collaborative skills.
- Experience in mentoring and training others.
