Transportation Specialist

The Patient Transporter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting patients, equipment, and medical supplies between various departments and locations within the University Medical Center and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patients, equipment, and medical supplies in a timely and efficient manner
- Respond to requests from various departments and locations via the TeleTracking System
- Interact with medical staff, patients, and other hospital personnel to facilitate quality patient care
- Maintain accurate records and paperwork related to patient transportation
- Participate in regular evaluations and training to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred
- Healthcare experience desired; customer relations skills essential
- CPR certification required within the first 90 days of employment
The Patient Transporter will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to various medical conditions and situations. The ability to work effectively in a team setting and maintain a high level of professionalism is essential.
