Job Summary

As an MRI Technologist-PRN with LifePoint Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging studies to aid in the diagnosis of patient illnesses. You will administer IV contrast media, perform MRI examinations, and demonstrate extensive knowledge of MRI physics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer IV contrast media and perform MRI examinations as requested by physicians and radiologists.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of MRI physics and practice daily.
  • Act as a consultant and educational resource for appropriateness and accuracy of scans.
  • Assist in scheduling patients to optimize equipment use and facilitate patient flow.
  • Assist in maintaining a professional and orderly working environment.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to all patients.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a school of radiologic technology.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • ARRT registered in Radiography and WV licensure (MRI registered preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year RT experience and 6 months of current MRI experience.
