Position Title: Commercial HVAC Technician

About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Commercial HVAC Technician. This position is ideal for individuals with mid-level experience in commercial refrigeration and control systems. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member capable of working independently in various settings.

  • This is a full-time role with the potential for consistent overtime.
  • On-call duties are required once a month, with dispatch from home and local travel involved, without overnight stays.
  • Opportunities for career advancement are available as this position is created due to company growth.
  • Compensation can reach up to $50 per hour, along with additional stipends.

Benefits Offered:

We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Accident Coverage, Short-Term Disability, Paid Time Off, Holidays, and a 401K plan. Technicians will be dispatched from home and provided with a company vehicle and gas card.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial heating and cooling systems.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while troubleshooting, diagnosing, and recommending solutions for refrigeration and heating systems.
  • Maintain a structured service schedule and ensure safety and limit controls are checked regularly.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial rooftop units and split systems, including those up to 30 tons.
  • Service cooling towers, heat pumps, split systems, pneumatic control systems, data centers, server rooms, and rooftop units.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining package units, high tonnage chillers, pump towers, and cooling tower control systems.
  • Familiarity with server rooms, data centers, and IT rooms is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of Real-Time Energy Management (RTEM) to support data-driven decision-making is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Possession of hand tools is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with commercial HVAC systems and refrigeration is necessary.
  • Experience with boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls, and packaged HVAC equipment is essential.
  • Universal EPA certification is required.
  • Journeyman HVAC certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A clean driving record is essential.
