Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position conducts risk/needs assessments for men at RDU, utilizing the LS/CMI or other assessments as assigned, including conducting interviews, collateral checks, and research, and entering detailed notes to reflect the basis for the rating.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct risk/needs assessments with male offenders entering the KDOC as directed, participating in ongoing capacity building with team members/colleagues, including observation, feedback, and booster sessions, to support self and fellow assessors in delivering robust fidelity-based assessments, and tracking data as directed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Six months of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to the agency's programs, with education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in criminal justice, the social sciences, or the behavioral sciences, and six (6) months of experience working with offenders in corrections, parole, or law enforcement, or 60 semester hours of college credit, and one (1) year of experience working with programs serving offenders or other high risk/need population.
Two years of experience working with adult or juvenile felons, two years of experience in case management work including conducting risk/needs assessments, and two years of experience in preparing reports, including collecting and translating data.
Demonstrated organizational skills and teamwork skills.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must pass a criminal history records check.
