We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a RN Supervisor in the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit. As a RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and implementing clinical objectives in the assigned area.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and implementing clinical objectives in the assigned area.
- Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments to ensure that population-appropriate patient care is given.
- Delegate appropriate duties to clinical and non-clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, in accordance with the applicable State Nurse Practice Act.
- Evaluate the care delivered by other licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff by providing direct and immediate feedback and coaching, and recommending corrective action as needed.
- Participate in the hiring process for new staff members assigned to the shift by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
