About the Role:

The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients undergoing surgery. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
  • Assess instrumentation and equipment needs, and provide them in a timely manner to enhance patient outcomes
  • Perform and/or provide scrub assistance during procedures, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and necessary principles
  • Assist the circulating nurse in implementing the perioperative plan of care, including patient positioning and confirmation/preparation of the operative site
  • Apply the principles of asepsis, adhering to unit-specific standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • BLS certification
  • Pertinent to OR, and Central Supply. Effective communication skills. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care
