Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Sales and Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for compiling estimates for fire protection systems and driving sales to meet our annual goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and efficient cost estimates for fire protection systems
- Maintain a database of all estimates generated and revise estimates as necessary
- Support project management staff with project setup, sequencing, and scheduling
- Assist in procuring resources and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Establish contact with prospective buyers and schedule sales calls
- Determine customer needs through site surveys and communicate effectively to educate customers about our capabilities
- Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support our sales plan
- Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships
- Support other teams in their initiatives as they relate to your territory
- Meet key objectives of the annual commission plan
Requirements
- 2 years prior experience in residential home construction estimating
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or work experience in residential construction materials and subcontract cost estimating
- Knowledge of the fire protection industry and local and state building codes
- Ability to work with Sage Estimating Extended program and run macros in Excel
- Strong prospecting skills and proven ability to close deals
- Viable local relationships with general contractors
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
- A high degree of professionalism and ability to operate within our company values and culture
- Minimal travel required, with a valid driver's license and insurance coverage
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and background check
