Position Overview:
Registered Nurse for Cardiology Clinic
Join our dedicated team at Mercyhealth, where we prioritize compassionate and culturally aware nursing care within a clinical environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering holistic care to our patients.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position, 80 hours per two weeks, Monday through Friday, Day Shift, with no weekend obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
1. Employ the nursing process and critical thinking skills in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
2. Conduct thorough assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
3. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing standards and state regulations.
4. Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation in line with the organization’s standards.
5. Create and execute individualized patient care plans as directed by physicians and hospital policies.
6. Utilize available resources to educate patients and their families, tailoring information to their understanding.
7. Engage in performance improvement initiatives within the department, contributing to shared governance.
8. Provide clinical expertise and support to other departments as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
9. Address patient safety and experience concerns, managing complex situations and delegating tasks appropriately.
10. Participate in ongoing professional development and support evidence-based practice guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
2. BSN required or agreement to enroll in a BSN Completion Program upon hire.
Licensure and Certification:
1. Must hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS certification required within 90 days; additional certifications may be required based on unit needs.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including:
1. Regularly talking and hearing.
2. Frequently standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks.
3. Occasionally sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
4. Lifting and moving up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
