About the Role

Rising Ground is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to supervise day-to-day health services' activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general medical care and treatment to individuals supported by the program, on-site.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general medical care and treatment to individuals supported by the program, on-site.
  • Perform physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions.
  • Provide health evaluations, assessments, and screenings with follow-ups.
  • Review all pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing.
  • Record physical findings based on patient's condition.
  • Participate in clinical team and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan utilizing historical and current information.
  • Conduct and assist in medical examinations of youth after incidents.
  • Provide health education to youth supported, including reproductive health education.
  • On call for all triage, sick, urgent, and quick coverage, questions, and consult calls for assigned programs.
  • Administer medication.
  • Train staff.
  • Assist with home visits and community provider visits as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid New York State Registered Nurse License.
  • or LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Recent experience in pediatric nursing and/or psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual - Spanish required.
Work Environment and Requirements

The successful candidate will work in a clinic setting and be required to work in-person in Bronx, Yonkers, Brooklyn, or Queens for at least 2 days a week. Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required).
