Job Title: Field Nurse Supervisor

RiverSpring Living's Licensed Home Care Services Agency is seeking a skilled Field Nurse Supervisor to lead our team of paraprofessional staff and private duty shift nursing services in the North Bronx.

Job Summary

The Field Nurse Supervisor will provide in-field professional supervision and on-the-job training to home health aides, personal care aides, companions, housekeepers, and nurses. This role requires a strong understanding of the scope of practice of professional and paraprofessional healthcare, as well as excellent organizational, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-field professional supervision and on-the-job training to home health aides, personal care aides, companions, housekeepers, and nurses.
  • Assist in classroom and field competency testing.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve agency goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Current New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a related health or human services field (desired).
  • One year experience in the provision of nursing care in an acute care facility.
  • One year satisfactory nursing experience in Home Care (desired).
  • Thorough knowledge of the scope of practice of professional and paraprofessional healthcare.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers/clients or employees of the agency.
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations as related to medication calculations, units of American money, and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
