**Key Responsibilities**

  • Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain and stock merchandise on the sales floor, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment
  • Assist customers and donors in a friendly and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Sort, categorize, price, and distribute all donated and purchased goods, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
  • Maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive store environment, adhering to Goodwill's high standards
  • Assist the store management team with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the store
  • Be authorized to carry keys to the store and issued an alarm code, ensuring secure access and control

**Requirements**

  • Ability to operate electronic cash registers, credit card draft capture terminals, and 10-key adding machines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, donors, and colleagues
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment
  • Team player mentality, with a willingness to assist and support colleagues as needed
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, reach 6 feet, and stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues
