About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civil CAD Technician to join our team at OWN, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality CAD drawings and designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3-D software.

Responsibilities
  • Data Collection and Research: Gather and analyze data to support daily projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret plans and specifications to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
  • Office Tasks: Conduct various office tasks, including research and preparation of CAD files for construction documents, as well as review deeds and title work information.
  • Bid Document Creation: Utilize engineer and survey drawings to create bid documents.
  • CAD Drawing Preparation: Prepare precise CAD drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3-D software.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively in a team environment, demonstrating self-motivation and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Requirements
  • CAD Experience: 2+ years of CAD related drafting/design experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in preparing CAD drawings with attention to detail and accuracy, as well as effective utilization of AutoCAD and Civil 3-D software.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong teamwork skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Adaptability and Learning: Willingness to learn and adapt, even if you don't possess all the desired skills for this position.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients effectively.
