Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and vascular ultrasound procedures to include common and special ultrasound exams of moderate complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to include common and special ultrasound exams, as well as vascular ultrasound exams.
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic or special procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
  • Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members at an appropriate level utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills, terminology and language.
  • Follow safety standards and conduct all imaging procedures accordingly, maintaining proper sterile techniques for procedures and ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
  • RDMS-OB, RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, ARRT-SON, ARRT-VS, RVS, RVT, or BLS certification within 18 months.
