Job Title: Clinic Nutrition Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinic Nutrition Manager to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a critical role in providing nutrition and dietetic services to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Clinic Nutrition Manager will be responsible for supervising and guiding the work assignments of subordinate staff, managing and coordinating nutrition and dietetic services, and providing technical expertise in nutrition, lactation, and operations to staff. This position requires a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess nutrition and diet-related health problems and available resources to determine present and forecast future needs.
  • Develop and maintain WIC budgets.
  • Determine the needs of nutrition department or public health program for personnel, supplies, and equipment.
  • Develop orientation and ongoing continuing nutrition education for all staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor standards for nutritional services.
  • Participate in developing agency health policy and assuring that food and nutrition-related issues are included.
  • Participate in strategic planning, identifying programs and services that should have a nutrition component and integrates plans into the overall agency health plan and budget.
  • Plans, directs, and implements nutrition education programs.
  • Ensures that WIC policy changes and processes are implemented in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
  • Four (4) years of job-related experience providing nutrition care to groups and individuals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registration as a Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
