Job Overview

Complete Coach Works, a leading provider of transit repair solutions, is seeking a skilled Bus Acquisitions Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring transit vehicles in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management to identify current inventory needs and develop strategies for procurement.
  • Manage a list of desired vehicles to be purchased, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate fleet inventory logs, ensuring up-to-date information on vehicle status and availability.
  • Utilize industry resources to identify and engage vendors of transit vehicles, building and maintaining effective relationships to meet bidding and acquisition requirements.
  • Obtain and provide necessary documentation for purchases, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle assessments, collecting and recording required information for appraisal and inspection.
  • Inspect and accept vehicles for purchase, adding them to the company inventory.
  • Perform additional cross-functional duties as needed to support the procurement team.
Requirements
  • Ability to travel and participate in industry events.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the transportation or heavy truck industry.
  • Related training or experience as a QC Inspector or equivalent, with a strong understanding of procurement life cycles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.
