The Patient Access Program Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing access to our medical products, ensuring patients receive timely and effective care. As a subject matter expert, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of our patient access program, driving strategic initiatives to enhance access and navigate reimbursement nuances.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Develop and implement program operations, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and superior support to internal and external customers.">
- Hire and manage direct reports, providing performance reviews, time-off requests, and ongoing training to foster career growth and expand team capabilities.">
- Serve as an expert resource for on-the-job training, guidance, mentoring, and support to resolve complex patient access issues and advance knowledge.">
- Analyze program outcomes, recognizing trends/issues hindering patient access, and craft strategic recommendations to adapt program operations, improve efficiency, and enhance access.">
- Foster alliances with key stakeholders to identify market access, reimbursement, and payer coverage changes/trends impacting patient access to Avanos products.">
Requirements:
">- Minimum 3 years' experience in patient access, medical benefits, insurance standards, authorization processes, and reimbursement with comprehensive understanding of obtaining patient access across government and private payer environments.">
- Minimum 2 years' experience with direct oversight and management of patient access program operations and teams with a successful record of managing direct reports.">
- Advanced knowledge of medical benefits, insurance standards, pre-service insurance authorization processes, and requirements for reimbursement from government and private payers.">
- Collaborative work ethic, exemplary leadership skills, excellent project/time management, and communication (written/verbal) skills.">
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, data visualization software, and CRM applications or aptitude to learn such tools.">
- Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory mandates in medical device environments.">
