Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Child Care Specialist to join our team at Central Carolina Community College. As a Child Care Specialist, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children, while also providing high-quality care and education.

Salary: $15.00 hourly

Job Overview: The Child Care Specialist will work directly with 0-5 years old children under the Motheread program, supervising and monitoring their physical safety, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and fun environment for young children
• Supervise and monitor physical safety of children
• Follow sanitation guidelines and help children learn good hygiene practices
• Clean and sanitize toys, children's furniture, and play equipment
• Engage children in positive interaction to build confidence and self-esteem
• Develop and deliver age-appropriate interactive lesson plans using Motheread curriculum
• Foster critical and motor skills development through creative activities and games
• Maintain children's daily attendance and keep records of each child's progress

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Motheread Story Exploring training certification
• Experience working with young children
• Bilingual
