We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Caregiver/CNA to join our team at The Sheridan at Tyler Creek. As a Memory Care Caregiver/CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents with dementia.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Personalized Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility, while promoting independence and dignity.
- Engage Residents in Activities: Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities, such as exercise programs, arts and crafts, and social events, to stimulate cognitive function and promote socialization.
- Support Resident Needs: Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and perform basic housekeeping tasks within the memory care neighborhood.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and respectful communication with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure timely response to concerns and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other caregivers, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of care and services.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors with dementia, preferably in a memory care setting.
- Education and Certification: Current CNA or CHHA license, depending on state requirements.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word, and ability to make independent decisions and solve practical problems.
