Direct Support Professional 2

Central Counties Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 2 to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional 2, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Job Summary:The Direct Support Professional 2 will work under the direction of the HCS Program Manager and within federal, state, and local guidelines to perform entry-level to routine habilitative and rehabilitative care work with individuals who have developmental disabilities. This position requires a strong commitment to providing person-centered care and support, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall quality of life for individuals served.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct care and services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and routine housekeeping.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals served, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the HCS Program Manager and other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as behavior management, medication administration, and first aid.
- Assist individuals with meal planning and food preparation, including purchasing groceries and preparing meals according to individual dietary needs.
- Provide transportation for individuals, adhering to Center guidelines and state laws.
- Document all interactions, services provided, and incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and PMAB.
- Valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, and a driving record acceptable to the Center's insurance requirements.
The physical demands of this position require the ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and stooping. The employee must be able to perform the physical requirements of PMAB, including scooting backwards, pivoting, grasping, and supporting individuals.
