Job Summary

Perimeter Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Intake Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our admissions department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient intake process for patients seeking our behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the intake process, including receiving referrals, scheduling assessments, and triaging calls.
  • Process requests for information and external referrals, ensuring timely and accurate communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Complete pre-certifications and assist in arranging patient admissions, including verifying benefits and initiating calls to physicians and other stakeholders.
  • Determine necessary Releases of Information and process them accordingly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to policy.
  • Assist in obtaining patient records and information, and arrange for disposition and community resources as needed.
  • Maintain accurate statistics and provide support for outcome studies and data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers, upholding high standards of customer service.
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, with a focus on adults and senior populations.
Requirements
  • Valid RN license in the State of Texas.
  • Experience in behavioral health assessment and treatment, with a minimum of one year in an acute behavioral health hospital preferred.
