Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to acute, subacute, and chronically ill residents, administering medications and treatments according to established standards of care.
- Lead and direct the workflow of the unit, ensuring coordination of care and providing guidance to ancillary staff.
- Maintain accurate inventory of medications and ensure proper distribution to residents, monitoring for medication side effects and adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with residents, guardians, and family members, providing education and support as needed.
- Ensure preventative measures are in place to prevent skin breakdown, falls, and other potential harm.
- Respond promptly to alarms and ensure restraint alternatives are in place, promoting resident safety and dignity.
- Provide end-of-life care, using comfort baskets to meet resident and family needs, and ensuring hygiene, comfort, and spiritual needs are met.
- Perform point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of work location or compact multi-state license.
This role is an evening shift position, working 32 hours per week in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, compassion, and excellence in patient care.
