We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Arctic Slope Native Association. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and delivering respiratory therapy services to patients in our hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Respiratory Therapy Assessments: Perform comprehensive respiratory therapy assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Respiratory Treatment Administration: Administer respiratory treatments in various modalities, including mechanical ventilation and oxygen support systems, to patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses.
- Patient Education and Instruction: Provide patients and their families with education and instruction on respiratory care and procedures, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and can manage their conditions effectively.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilators and oxygen concentrators, to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and test results in patient charts and electronic medical records.
- Certification and Licensure: Must be registered or registry eligible by the National Board of Respiratory Care and hold a current BLS certification.
- Education and Experience: A minimum of an Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field, with two years of respiratory therapy experience required.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide patient-centered care.
