Key Responsibilities:
You will be part of a specialized team responsible for:

  • Conducting bench tests, debugging, and characterizing embedded on-chip circuitry, including PLLs, DLLs, Clocks, Data Converters, DDR Memory, and various I/O Interfaces.
  • Developing benchtop electrical tests that exercise on-chip circuitry using a combination of FPGA, JTAG, SPI, and analog interfaces.
  • Creating and executing scripts to automate testing processes, extract results, and generate comprehensive reports utilizing database and analytical tools.
  • Generating detailed reports for characterization and debugging to provide constructive design feedback.
  • Performing in-system PI/SI measurements to correlate with simulation models.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Design, System Hardware, and Software.
  • Providing support for ATE and Product Engineering.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Experience with PLL, PCIe, USB3/4, Display Port, and SerDes specifications.
  • Knowledge of SerDes design and architecture, including Clock Data Recovery (CDR) and equalization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Tx/Rx equalization techniques and adaptation.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as Bit Error Rate Testers (BERT), real-time oscilloscopes, sampling oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), and protocol analyzers.
  • Proficiency in lab automation software, including Python and Matlab.
  • Understanding of Design for Test (DFT) principles to facilitate system validation.
  • Experience with SerDes debugging and knowledge of board design and troubleshooting.
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is just one component of our total compensation package, which is determined within a range. This allows for growth as you develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
