Job Title: HR Generalist / Senior HR GeneralistJob Summary:

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist / Senior HR Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to faculty and staff on HR-related matters, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on HR functions and best practices, providing guidance and support to faculty and staff.
  • Partner with departments to understand business processes and needs, and develop HR processes and procedures to support them.
  • Recruit and hire candidates, including creating job postings, sourcing candidates, and onboarding new employees.
  • Manage and coordinate the visa application process for foreign nationals, and act as a liaison between departments and the International Office.
  • Administer and oversee payroll processes, and design and generate reports related to recruitment, retention, and internal salaries.
  • Advise employees on leave policies and employee rights and responsibilities, and interface with UC Leave Administrators and Department Administrators as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity, and perform related duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of related Human Resources experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
