Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical advice and guidance to patients and healthcare professionals through phone and electronic correspondence.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute diagnosis.
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers, in accordance with department protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist healthcare providers with various procedures, minor surgeries, and exams, as designated.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for further testing, and authorize prescription refills as instructed.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and quality of care.
Requirements
  • Completion of a LPN or RN educational program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One to two years of nursing experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office.
  • Prior triage, emergency room, cardiac care, intensive care, or other related specialty nursing experience.
