Job Description

At Behavioral Health Services North Inc, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Respite Provider to join our team.

As a Family Support Respite Provider, you will play a vital role in supporting school-aged children with social, emotional, behavioral, mental health, or developmental disabilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Providing direct supervision and support to children, helping them develop social skills and experience success while having fun.

* Facilitating engagement in meaningful play, recreational, and work activities to assist in decreasing negative and increasing positive emotional states.

* Responding quickly and effectively in crisis situations to de-escalate and avert ECC presentations/hospital admissions.

* Maintaining client confidentiality and confidential health information.

* Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED required.

* Ability to understand severe emotional disturbances and interact with psychologically impaired children in a therapeutic manner.

* Knowledge of the developmental needs of children and their families to inform service planning and delivery.

* Valid NYS driver's license and a driving record that is acceptable to BHSN's insurance carrier.

* Possession of a vehicle deemed safe to transport children with current registration, inspection, and insurance; and willingness to use own vehicle.
