Position Overview
This role focuses on managing claims related to Physicians and Surgeons in the Southeast region, ideally suited for candidates located in Florida.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify coverage and oversee claims and lawsuits involving policyholders.
  • Analyze and interpret coverage matters.
  • Select appropriate legal representation.
  • Coordinate litigation processes with external counsel.
  • Manage litigation expenses and fees.
  • Establish reserves for losses and Additional Living Expenses (ALE).
  • Resolve claims through settlement, dismissal, or trial.
  • Engage in negotiations.
  • Provide support to insured clients and assist in sales and retention initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as required in a frontline claims role.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of claims experience, ideally in healthcare liability or similar professional liability claims.
  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) is preferred; however, a Bachelor's degree may be considered if the candidate has relevant industry experience.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • An adjuster's license (or the ability to obtain one within 90 days) may be necessary.

General Information:
MedPro Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The annual gross base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $150,000, reflecting the anticipated low and high ends of compensation based on qualifications and experience. Salary is one aspect of MedPro's comprehensive compensation and benefits package, which includes options for medical, vision, and dental insurance, life and accident insurance, 401(k), and both short-term and long-term disability insurance.
