Surgical Technologist

As a Surgical Technologist at Thompson Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical patients. Your expertise in sterile technique, surgical instruments, and procedures will be essential in maintaining a high level of quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare for each assigned case, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for the surgical patient.
- Act as an active member of the surgical team, working collaboratively to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Effectively clear the Operating Room following each case, maintaining a high level of efficiency and organization.
- Provide quality care based on current nursing research and quality improvement monitoring results.
- Surgical Technologist Certification through the NY State Department of Education.
- OR NYS Licensed Practical Nurse Degree.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous experience as a surgical scrub tech preferred.
- Knowledge of sterility preferred.
