Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties to the highest standard.
  • Write and implement schedules, evaluate staff performance, and provide guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Ensure that all food served is of the highest quality, properly prepared, and presented in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the establishment of goals, standards, and objectives to further the reputation and profitability of the organization.
  • Supervise the kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef and provide guidance and support to all kitchen associates.
  • Maintain accurate records, including use records, roast meat charts, and recipe cards.
  • Prepare recipe cards and picture presentation of all menu items.
  • Ensure payroll hours are submitted to the Accounting Department in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
