Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to design, implement, and maintain our Java-based OUF Online Claiming application. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the effective operation of the application throughout the duration of the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Guide, mentor, and deliver solutions for all development and support activities undertaken by the consulting team.
  • Facilitate integrations with established frameworks, tools, and additional technologies as required.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to configure necessary solutions, including server setups and access permissions.
  • Engage with vendors to provide support for the OUF Online Claiming application.
  • Investigate and prototype innovative solutions to address business requirements.
  • Document technical specifications comprehensively.
  • Consult with business analysts and users to gather and define requirements.
  • Assist project teams in identifying system requirements and conducting requirements analysis.
  • Offer guidance on interface design and user interface integration.
  • Deliver final application architecture and design.
  • Code, test, and deploy solutions while adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Develop and execute system test plans to meet acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex application and system challenges.
  • Conduct thorough testing of functionalities, including integration with other systems and applications.
  • Create and update reports for the OUF Online Claiming application.
  • Participate in design sessions, reviewing deliverables and providing constructive feedback.
  • Support development teams lacking experience with new technologies through mentorship.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to internal staff.
Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in developing and maintaining Java web applications.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in analyzing project requirements and designing Java web applications accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience in developing Java web applications utilizing the Apache Wicket framework.
  • Experience in implementing LexisNexis Risk Solutions, specifically in areas such as Device Assessment and Consumer Instant ID.
  • Experience in web services development within a Java application.
  • Experience using Hibernate ORM in Java applications.
  • Experience in developing Java applications that interface with IBM DB2 databases.
