We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home and Community Services Aide to join our team at Willcare, a part of LHC Group. As a Home and Community Services Aide, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

About the Role

The Home and Community Services Aide is responsible for providing personal care and support to clients in their homes, including assistance with daily living activities, household tasks, and other essential needs. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and building trusted relationships with clients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily living activities.
  • Assist clients with household tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Report observations of client condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager and notify immediately in case of incidents or accidents.
  • Drive safely and comply with traffic regulations when business travel is required.
  • May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living, including nail care, skin care, and transfer of patients from bed to chair and to wheelchair.
Requirements
  • Six months experience in home care preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patients' needs.
  • Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the patient.
  • Able to work independently and multi-task, with good time management skills, courtesy, and common sense.
  • Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and their families, keeping personal matters confidential.
