Oncology Nurse Specialist

Job OverviewThis is a part-time opportunity at our First Hill campus. The successful candidate will have 1 year of Oncology Nursing experience and be certified as an RN with a valid Washington State license.
Key Responsibilities- Collect pertinent assessment data from patients, families, and healthcare team members to identify their needs and potential problems.
- Develop, review, and revise individualized care plans within established timeframes, setting measurable and achievable outcomes.
- Evaluate patient responses to care, initiate independent and/or collaborative changes as needed, and document changes in condition and response to interventions.
- Utilize the nursing process to incorporate teaching into patient care delivery, documenting teaching and learning.
- Maintain annual clinical and institutional competencies.
- Deliver patient care based on pathophysiology and nursing principles, performing technical skills accurately and efficiently while establishing and adjusting priorities based on patient acuity and changing clinical situations.
- Recognize the patient's age as a relevant factor and apply appropriate decision-making skills in assessment, treatment, and care provided.
The estimated salary range for this position is $45.65 - $84.03 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
