The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team as an Assistant Project Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with clients and other project disciplines, assisting an experienced Project Manager in navigating entitlements, client interactions, and project design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with design coordination between architects, MEPs, Geotech, and other disciplines
  • Represent Sambatek at meetings with cities, clients, and external project team members
  • Prepare proposals for new project opportunities
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to project team staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota (highly preferred) or Engineer in Training (EIT)
  • 2-8 years of consulting experience in land development
  • Effective written/verbal communication and independent judgment skills
  • Driven to exceed expectations and win over clients
  • Good mentoring skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to change focus quickly during a typical day
  • Positive and solution-oriented approach to problems
