The Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Engineer to work with a team to execute transportation engineering projects. As a project engineer, this individual will be responsible for the production and development of project documents using specified standards and examples while following specific process and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to highway projects in preliminary design phase or plan development phase
  • Measure, calculate, and tabulate quantities for bidding purposes
  • Participate in quality review processes
  • Perform CAD drafting in MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads Designer
  • Perform subtasks for a task lead or project manager as part of a collaborative team
  • Spend time in the field, in addition to the office, to perform construction inspection, material testing, and see transportation project sites to grow as a designer
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
  • Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Experience using Bentley GEOPAK and corridor modeling experience preferred
  • Strong self-motivation and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage tasks on a project with strong attention to detail
