Position Responsibilities:

  • Design individualized care plans with specific, measurable goals, objectives, and interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs.
  • Participate in treatment planning by providing insights to nursing and program staff to facilitate effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Guide nursing staff regarding activity-related groups.
  • Contribute to treatment team discussions with input on patients' Activity Therapy objectives.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Recreational, Music, or Art Therapy, or a related field.
  • Licensure or certification in accordance with state practice regulations.
  • CPR and CPI Certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting, particularly with direct involvement with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients is preferred.
