The Senior Professional Affairs Manager will play a pivotal role in formulating and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at fostering robust relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), significant accounts, educational institutions, and professional organizations, thereby supporting the Bausch + Lomb Pharmaceutical division. This role will report directly to the Executive Director of Professional Affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement KOL strategies to enhance and solidify productive partnerships across the Bausch + Lomb Rx Portfolio.
  • Coordinate advisory boards in collaboration with Directors and Brand Leads to extract valuable insights that will inform future marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, industry groups, associations, major accounts, and educational institutions.
  • Provide accurate product information and serve as an expert on Bausch + Lomb's core pharmaceutical brands, policies, and business guidelines.
  • Act as the commercial lead for organizing all KOL and Brand activities at major ophthalmology and optometry conferences.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Affairs team and Brand Leads to oversee all promotional speaker program engagements.
  • Encourage healthcare professional attendance at educational events through various promotional opportunities.
  • Organize and facilitate both in-person and virtual meetings with clients.
  • Identify and achieve strategic objectives that enhance Bausch + Lomb's standing within key KOL communities.
  • Establish and nurture relationships at designated academic institutions.
  • Provide cross-functional support for KOL, key account, society, and academic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing, with a preference for ophthalmic and pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Proven capability to independently manage significant projects.
  • Expertise in KOL development and relationship management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data analytics and interpretation abilities.
  • Goal-oriented, self-driven, and a team player.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced business landscape.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, including overnight trips 35-50% of the time.
