Banquet Captain

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at SCI Hotels LLC. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in all aspects of banquets and events.

1. Assist guests in organizing banquet functions and ensure guest satisfaction by communicating with the host guest throughout the event.
2. Direct banquet setup and scheduling, including anticipating banquet scheduling and supplies needs based on BEOs and forecasting.
3. Ensure proper billing and recording of all events in a timely manner, including the proper reporting of staff labor and gratuities.
4. Thoroughly communicate with management and banquet associates through daily communication.
5. Assist with interviews and the selection of qualified associates for hire.

1. Must have previous banquet or event experience.
2. Must have good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
3. Must have effective decision-making skills and the ability to coach and mentor others.
4. Must have good organizational skills, the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.

The Banquet Captain will work a variety of shifts, including weekends, weekdays, mornings, evenings, and holidays. The Banquet Captain will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

The Banquet Captain will be paid $12.00/hour + tips, with an average of $30+/hr. The Banquet Captain will also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
